Bridging is a Mistakes!!

This time we will discuss about the beginners common mistakes in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu are not even aware, I also do so. It is a mistake to maintain the length of the land and remain in position when exposed to bridging pinned under.

Say I hit pinned under. If the shoulders and my legs are on the mat, but I lift the hips from the mat (more than one or two seconds), it means that the bridge is holding me.

Do not misunderstand about this: there is no fault with this bridging. This is one of two or three most important things when you hit pinned, so do not hesitate to make bridging! Bridge to make room. Bridge to get a better position. Bridge to reverse or escape from a bad position.

But if the bridging can not work for some reason, then you get your hips back to the ground. There are 3 reasons, too long in the bridge position can be wrong:

1. Discard too much energy and make you tired (without getting anything to make you free from a bad position)

2. There is no rift or space. One reason is the bridge to create space between the hips and hips your opponent. By holding the position of bridge too long, you remove the space or crevice that you have created yourself.

3. Prevent the opportunity of the second bridge. You may need a bridging more than once to get away from a bad position. If your hips are elevated and how you can bridge again?

Like all rules there are always exceptions. You can hold the position to bridge conditioning (as they do in Yoga). There are also some chokes, submissions armlock and neck crank that can be countered, to keep your hips lifted from the ground.

This exception is a special situation. Unless you are countering one of the specific submission, the bridge more quickly and explosive.
